Identity, Communication, and Democracy: Tracing Contentious Politics Across Contexts and Mediums
In this presentation, I discuss my various research projects centered on identity, communication, and contentious politics. Broadly, I argue that while many communication scholars focus on information in the context of politics, we need to pay greater attention to the ways that political identities get performed, narrated, visualized, and activated across mediums.
